I received a letter from "The CPS Payments Department" stating I had won $20,000 by solving a puzzle game (10 + 10 = ) they ask you to send $10.00 for a claim fee. Their address is Consolidated Payment Services PO Box 151 1420 AC Uithoorn The Netherlands. Is this company legit? It sounds bogus to me...wonder if anyone else has received these letters.

yeah, this just happen to me today too. at first it started at a modest letter to return . Then the next day they want to me send money to them (10$) too. AS a result, i start thinking to myself is this a scam , it has to be. so i decided to search for this company on the internet and i found this place. Thank goodness i learn from my old mistakes and try not to repeat them. 
ITS GREAT THAT SOMEONE TOOK THE TIME TO DISPLAY THIS SCAM FOR WHAT IT REALLY IS. I JUST WISHED IT WAS SOMETHING LIKE THIS EARLIER FOR ME THOUGH. 
IST WASN'T THIS SCAM THAT GOT ME THOUGHT IT WAS SOMETHING ELSE , AND ITS HARD TO FIND JUSTICE WHEN , NO ONE SEEM TO CARE HOW TO HELP GAIN WHAT WE ALREADY LOST BECAUSE OF THEM. THEIR ARE SELFISH PEOPLE OUT THERE, AND THEY DON'T CARE WHO THEY HURT IN THE PROCESS!!!!
i also got a letter today from the cps payments,telling me that i have won 20.000$ the only thing i have to do is send them 10$ for claiming fee.The return adress is consolidated payments services po box 266 3640 ag mijdrecht netherland i wonder where they get our adresses from.

My name is Pat and I had read your post about receiving a letter from Consolidated Payment Services telling you that you were the winner of $20,000., but you needed to send them $10.91 for the delivery of the check.
I had recently received the same letter as you may have and I live in Honolulu, Hawaii. I, too had did my homework as to their existence and had found nothing. The difference with me is, I am a Private Investigator and will be launching a investigative probe into this, if it is bogus. I am curious to know what State do you live in when you had received that letter, and was there anyone else that you had known that had received the same letter and in what State? If you choose to help by assisting me with those answers, I promise to keep you informed of the investigation and if it results in something, as there are numerous laws that have been breeched or broken if they don't full fill their end of the letter.
